Question about tracking time for a single project

Honestly, I used to just guess my hours for a client project and send a total at the end. Last month, I switched to using Clockify to track every single 15-minute block I worked on a website redesign. Ngl, I billed for 12 more hours than I would have guessed, which was over $900 extra. Has anyone else found a specific app that made a big difference for them?

Been there, done that... the guessing never works out.

Remember that time we tried to guess the surprise party theme? Ended up with a taco bar at a bowling alley... not what Karen had planned at all.

Wait, you guys actually think guessing is the wrong move here? lmao. I'm gonna go full opposite on this one and say the guessing is the best part, even if it goes off the rails. @the_derek, you gotta admit the chaos is half the fun. Like, yeah, you might end up with a taco bar at a bowling alley instead of whatever Karen wanted, but now that's a story everyone tells for years. If you just let someone plan it perfectly, it's boring and forgettable. The guessing adds that layer of risk where everyone feels involved, even if the result is a hot mess. It turns a regular party into something actually memorable, not just another generic surprise.
