My laptop charger died right before a big client call

Happened yesterday morning. Was at a rest stop in Flagstaff, prepping for a video meeting. Plugged in, nothing. Battery at 3%. Had to run to a truck stop and buy a generic charger for $45. It worked, but the call was a mess. Anyone else have a key piece of gear fail at the worst possible time? What's your backup plan?

Ever notice how tech always fails under pressure?

Always fails under pressure" is so true. It's like my old car's GPS that would just give up in a heavy rainstorm. Makes you wonder if they even test this stuff when it's not perfect and sunny out.

Rain didn't break the GPS, those old ones just had bad antenna placement tbh lol.
