I raised my rates by 40% and my best client didn't even blink
After a year of grinding, I sent a new contract to my biggest client with a big jump from $75 to $105 an hour. I was sure they'd push back or drop me. They signed it the same day, no questions. It made me realize I'd been pricing my work based on my own fear, not the actual value I was bringing. Now I'm looking at all my other contracts. Has anyone else had a client just accept a major rate hike without a fight?

Hold on, that math is off. A jump from 75 to 105 is not 40%, it's actually 40 dollars, which is a little over 50%. You gave yourself an even bigger raise than you thought. Good for you, but get your numbers straight for the next client talk. It's a powerful lesson that your fear was the only thing holding your price down.
