My big ink spill in the garage taught me to prep better

I was trying to mix a new batch of my 'Midnight Moss' green in my garage last Tuesday, and I knocked over a whole 30ml bottle of Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-ryoku. It went everywhere on my workbench. I grabbed a bunch of paper towels and some distilled water to stop it from soaking into the wood, but it still stained. Anyone have a good way to get a big ink stain off a wooden surface?

Ugh, that's the worst... still got a faint purple spot on ours.
