Had the old core box on the 12B pattern give out during a pour yesterday
The wood just split right down the seam, sand spilling everywhere. Had to shut the line down for 45 minutes to clean it up and grab the spare from storage. Anyone got a good source for tougher maple cores these days?

That 12B pattern is a known weak spot on our line too. Honestly, losing 45 minutes to a core blowout is a brutal hit to production. Hope the spare held up for the rest of your shift.

My buddy's shift went south after a 12B blowout, @nathan851, and the spare failed an hour later.
