Can we talk about the difference between a 'pile of junk' and a 'collection'?

I had a box of old watch parts and broken electronics in my garage for like 5 years... my wife called it trash. I spent a weekend putting a few pieces together on a magnet board, and now she says it's 'industrial decor'. The shift happened the second I gave it a frame and a purpose. Anyone else had a 'trash to treasure' moment that changed how someone else saw your stuff?

Yeah, the "memory wall" thing is just proof that presentation is everything. A frame is basically a permission slip.

Oh man, totally. I had a shoebox full of old concert ticket stubs and random flyers. My roommate kept saying to toss it. Then I got a cheap shadow box and arranged them all in a grid. Suddenly it's a "memory wall" and she wants to do one too. It's wild how just displaying it differently changes everything.
