Bought a box of 'unlabeled' VHS tapes for $80 at a yard sale
I thought I hit the jackpot, but every single tape was just old recorded TV from 1992. Hours of soap operas and weather reports, nothing weird or cool at all. I wasted a whole weekend checking them and $80 I could have used on something good. Has anyone else had a big letdown with a bulk buy like that?

Oh man, @ruby_sanchez45, you're not wrong. I've been burned so many times. Remember those subscription boxes that promised cool gadgets but sent you a single, weirdly shaped rubber band? Or the "collector's edition" gaming loot crate that was just a bunch of stickers and a stress ball? It's always a mountain of packing peanuts for one disappointing keychain. Feels like the real mystery is how I keep falling for it.
