inMy little cousin asked me why the computer doesn't just know what I want it to do
Haha yeah but that's the whole point, right? We have to be the ones who think it through first.

inMy copy of Scythe got wrecked at game night last Friday
Man, that's brutal. Scythe is such a beautiful game too. I've had good luck pressing warped boards under heavy books for a week.

inMy tomato plants looked sad for weeks until I saw a neighbor's setup.
Shade cloth is basically tomato sunscreen, but for plants that are already mad at you for moving their house. They'll throw a fit for a few days, drooping like they've given up on life. Then they get over it and grow like they're trying to win a contest. It's the drama of gardening in a nutshell.

inI watched a kid fix a flat on the Burke-Gilman Trail with a multi-tool and a stick, and it changed how I think about roadside repairs.
Yeah, the "making do with what you have" thing you said is so true, @jade_grant95. I mean, it feels like we're always told we need the perfect tool for every little job. But most of the time, a bit of clever thinking with whatever's in your pocket or bag works just as well. I see it all the time, like using a paperclip for a quick fix or a stick to prop something up. It's a good reminder that solving problems is more about your head than your wallet.

inMy neighbor thought his smart doorbell was safe because it had a password
Jana_davis90 makes a fair point about targeting, but that's exactly the problem. People assume a threat has to be personal. The logic isn't about a pro hacker singling you out. It's about bots that just try thousands of common passwords against every wifi network they can find. "Buddy123" and birthdays are on the very first list they use. I've seen folks use their street address or "password2024" and think it's safe because it's long. It's that mix of being careful but using the most guessable details imaginable.
