My wife convinced me to watch 'The Bear' and I was sure the kitchen crew drama would be annoying, but the way they became a real unit by season 2, especially after the Christmas episode, completely won me over.

Has anyone else had a show they resisted that ended up being a perfect found family story?

@brian_jackson I get why you think it's corny, but that Christmas episode hit different for me. The way the kitchen crew finally clicked after all that chaos reminded me of my old construction crew. We started out hating each other, but after a rough few months working together, we became this weird family where you could bust someone's balls one minute and help them move a couch the next. That's exactly what The Bear did by season 2. It's not fake or forced, it's just what happens when people grind through something hard and come out the other side.

Felt the same way about Ted Lasso, I thought it was just gonna be a dumb sports comedy. My buddy kept telling me to watch it and I rolled my eyes every time. Finally caved and got totally sucked in by how the team and coaches all became this weird, supportive family. I was fully ready to hate it and now I get emotional over a fictional soccer team, lol.
