Was dead wrong about expired film being a scam
I bought a 10 pack of Kodak Gold that expired in 2003 for $15 off eBay last month. Everyone told me it would come out blank or super faded, but I was broke and wanted to shoot. Shot a roll at my sister's birthday party in Austin and the colors came out with this wild purple shift that looked amazing. The grain was heavier but honestly gave everything a dreamy 90s photos vibe. Has anyone else had good luck with super expired film from random sellers?

Rolled the dice on some 2004 Fuji Superia and got straight up orange haze on half the frames, lol. Probably just sat in some guys hot garage for 20 years but hey you win some you lose some. At least $15 for a purple party look is cheaper than buying it new and pretending you're artsy.

Totally been there (bought a brick of 2005 Portra that turned everything brownish green). Honestly though, the accidental retro look is kind of a vibe, makes me feel like I'm in a cheap 90s music video.

Honestly, how long did you meter the expired roll - did you overexpose it by two stops or just go by the box speed?
