I was giving a quote for a new fence when a squirrel grabbed my level and took off. I mean, try keeping a straight face after that.

Tbh, a squirrel snatching your level mid-quote is a classic. I keep a spare laser level in my truck because animals love shiny tools. If it runs up a tree, just wait it out since they usually drop it. Honestly, clients find it hilarious if you play it cool.

Oh man, my buddy had a crow swipe his shiny tape measure right off his belt. The thing flew to the top of this old pecan tree and just started dropping it, clattering on the branches. He had to stand there explaining deck costs while this bird threw his tool around. His client was crying from laughing so hard.
