Was dead wrong about Procreate being overhyped for digital art

That part about the brush engine really hit me because I had the exact same experience with pressure sensitivity... I used to think my old Wacom tablet was fine until I tried Procreate and realized my lines were always fighting me. What nobody talks about is how Procreate actually changed my approach to starting drawings I used to spend hours on sketching in layers but now I just jump in with one layer and paint over mistakes like it's real canvas. The simplicity forced me to stop overthinking and just make marks which is something no desktop software ever did for me. It's almost like the limits of the iPad made me a better artist somehow.

Backpacker in the Sierras told me my water filter was overkill for short trips

Dave from Yosemite sounds like he knows his stuff. I actually made the switch to a UV pen a few years back, and it worked great until that one time I dropped it in a creek and it blinked a sad little red light at me forever. I ended up boiling water for three days using a tin cup and trying not to set the forest on fire. Now I carry a lightweight squeeze filter and a backup pack of purification tablets, just in case my gadget decides to take another swim.

Spent 6 hours trying to fix a sticky buttercream, turns out my kitchen was too cold

58 degrees? You had your window open while making buttercream? That's like trying to frost a cake in a refrigerator. No wonder it kept fighting you.

Dropped a fender on a customer's hood because I forgot to lock the stand

380 bucks and a bruised ego is a hell of a combo deal. At least you got the "I'm an idiot" story out of it, that's worth something. Bet you double check where you set tools down now.

Why does nobody mention preheating an air fryer for frozen fries?

Preheating made all the difference for me too, I didn't realize how much steam was building up in a cold basket until I tried it. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, just like I wanted all along.
