Watching my kid's play convinced me asymmetry can work in a dress design

I saw my daughter's lopsided art project and realized a gown with one long sleeve and one short could feel intentional, not broken. Has anyone else found weird inspiration like that?

Weird inspiration is everywhere. My neighbor's fence fell down in a storm last year, and the way the broken boards hung made me paint my kitchen cabinets two different colors. It looked like a mess at first, but now I love it. That "intentional, not broken" thing you said is exactly right.
