Blew $280 on a fabric cutter that barely works

I bought this electric fabric cutter from a random online shop last month thinking it'd save me hours on my side gig making upcycled shirts. First use, it jammed on a thin cotton blend and now the blade's all wonky. My old scissors did the job fine but I got greedy for speed. Has anyone else wasted cash on a tool that just let them down?

Bought a cheap heat press from a random site last spring for $150. First shirt I tried to apply a vinyl decal to, the thing overheated and melted the whole design into a sticky mess. Customer wanted a refund and I lost two hours cleaning my work table. That press now sits in my garage next to a broken sewing machine I picked up at a flea market for $45.
