My dog's lion mane costume fell apart 10 minutes into our Halloween walk

I spent like 3 hours last Saturday cutting felt and gluing it onto an old hoodie to make a lion costume for my beagle, Milo. We got maybe two blocks into the neighborhood before the whole thing started sagging and the tail piece just dropped off on the sidewalk. Turns out hot glue doesn't stick great to fleece when it's cold out, who knew. Has anyone else had a costume fail mid-use and how did you fix it without sewing?

Ha, nah mine went full on melted gummy bear instead. I opened the box and it was straight up a lump with floppy ears and no mane. I swear it looked like it aged 20 years in that packaging. Mine had this tragic expression like it just lost its job and its dog ran away. Honestly I think I got a glow down instead of a glow up.
