Unpopular opinion: paint sprayers are overrated for small rooms
Spent last Saturday cleaning a Graco sprayer for 2 hours after painting my 10x12 spare bedroom in Phoenix. A roller would've taken the same time and saved me the headache of masking everything. Anyone else find sprayers more trouble than they're worth for tiny spaces?

Stopped using my sprayer for small rooms after the same thing happened to me. Now I just use a good quality roller with a 3/8 inch nap for walls and a smaller trim roller for edges. It takes maybe 15 minutes more than spraying but I save two hours on cleanup and don't have to tape off every damn thing in sight. The key is using a wet roller and not overloading it so you don't get drips. Works perfect for rooms under 12x12 in my experience. Sprayer stays in the garage until I'm painting a whole house or doing cabinets.

Yeah the "wet roller" thing took me way too long to figure out. I used to roll completely dry and ended up with these weird patchy spots that drove me crazy. Honestly I still grab the sprayer for closets though, something about rolling in tight spaces just makes me angry.
