Noticed a drywall trick at a Habitat ReStore and tried it at home
Went to the Habitat ReStore in Columbus last Saturday to look for cabinet pulls and ended up talking to a volunteer who was patching a hole in the wall. He said instead of using paper tape on a seam, he wets the tape first and lets it sit for a minute before pressing it on the mud. Said it keeps the paper from bubbling. Tried it on a 4 foot seam in my laundry room this weekend. No bubbles at all, first try. Anybody else wet their tape or is that just a weird old trick?
