Guy at a garage sale taught me a trick with a paperclip

I was picking up an old La Pavoni at a garage sale in Austin last month, and the owner showed me how he used a bent paperclip to clean the group head screen without taking it apart. Saved me from buying a $15 tool I didn't need. Anyone else got weird household items that work for espresso gear?

A paperclip and a cut up straw here. Way cheaper than therapy.

I get where you're coming from with "way cheaper than therapy," but a paperclip and a straw aren't going to fix deep-rooted problems like a real professional can. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.
