Hit my 100th coworking space yesterday and it felt weirdly sad
I was in Medellin last week and realized I had just crossed the 100 mark for coworking spaces I've worked from since 2021. I keep a spreadsheet (I know, very extra) with notes on wifi speed, coffee quality, and how loud the people on calls are. At first I thought hitting 100 would feel like a flex, like a badge of honor for being a true nomad. But honestly it just made me feel kind of lonely, you know? Each space is basically the same: strangers on laptops, a Nespresso machine, and that faint smell of burnt popcorn. I started wondering if I've been so focused on finding the perfect workspace that I forgot to actually build roots anywhere. Has anyone else hit a milestone that made them question the whole nomad thing?

I actually read a study that said digital nomads hit a wall around the 18 month mark where the novelty wears off and loneliness sets in hard. 100 coworking spaces sounds like you've been running from that feeling instead of sitting with it. Do you think you're chasing perfect coffee and wifi or just trying to avoid staying still?

Patricia's got a point for some people, sure, but it's not that deep for everyone. Maybe some of us just genuinely like bouncing around and the "wall" is more about having a boring routine than the lifestyle itself. I'd argue chasing good coffee and wifi is just part of the fun, not a red flag.
