Layer glitch ruined my whole project last night

I was working on a fantasy landscape in Procreate around midnight. Had 45 layers going and somehow the blend mode glitched on my sky. Lost 3 hours of cloud work because I forgot to duplicate the layer first. Anyone else had Procreate mess up their layers mid-project?

Honestly you should've just saved a backup, that's on you.

Man you're probably right honestly. A few years ago I would have said backups are overrated too but then I lost a whole folder of family photos from a crashed hard drive. Your mileage may vary of course but now I keep three copies of everything just to be safe. It's one of those lessons you learn the hard way sometimes. Better to take the hit now and set up a simple backup routine than deal with the regret later.
