Found out the hard way that Cummins ISX injector cups need to be torqued to exactly 89 ft-lbs not just 'tight enough'

I learned that one from a Cummins bulletin last week after pulling a injector that came loose at 150k miles, cost me a whole weekend of rework has anyone else run into torque spec confusion on newer common rail stuff?

Oh boy, I'm gonna have to disagree a little here. I've been turning wrenches on these things since the ISX first came out, and I've never had an issue going right to 89 ft-lbs from the start. The bulletins are there for a reason, and that extra oomph from "tight enough" is what keeps them from backing off at highway speed.
