Found a 1974 map of Europe with West Germany still labeled as 'occupied territory'
I had been using it as a reference for a school project for weeks until my history teacher pointed out the borders were from 10 years before I was born, has anyone else gotten tripped up by an outdated map's country names?

That map sounds like it belongs in a museum, not a school project. Must have been awkward when your teacher pointed out you were basically using a historical artifact as a cheat sheet. I can only imagine trying to explain to your parents why you thought West Germany was still a thing. At least you didn't try to color in the Soviet Union like that other guy did for a whole semester. That's a solid gold goof right there.
