The misplaced spacer situation is getting out of hand in build logs

Kept seeing these gorgeous boards on here with perfectly aligned keys, then zoom in and the spacebar is like 2mm off center. Drove me nuts for a week until I realized builders are using the wrong wire length for their spacebar - like using a 6.25u wire on a 6u bar. Checked my own build from 3 months ago and yep, I did the same thing. Anyone else catch themselves obsessively eyeballing spacebar alignment in other people's photos?

misplaced spacer situation" - yeah that's the one. Drove me crazy on my first build too. I ended up taking a caliper to my spacebar wire and realized it was off by like 0.5mm. What fixed it for me was just buying a proper wire kit with exact u-sizes. No more guessing. I even labeled them with a sharpie so I don't mix them up again. Also started checking the wire before I clip it in. Saves so much hassle later. Now I just look at photos and know immediately if someone used the wrong wire.

Oh wow, I gotta respectfully disagree there. I feel like labeling wires and buying special kits is overcomplicating something that's usually fixable with just a quick bend or two.
