Saw my cousin do something similar with a store card. Just bought gas and paid it off, and his score shot up like 60 points in six months. It's crazy how that works.

Wait, 80 points in under a year? That's wild... I know it helps but that seems crazy fast. My friend had a card for like two years and only saw half that jump, even paying it off.
