Noticed a real shift in how our board handles internal investigation reports.
Before 2020, they were just for the audit committee, but now legal insists on full privilege logs from day one. Is this just our firm, or is it the new standard everywhere?

We saw the same change. Our legal team now demands a full log of every document from the start, even for small HR issues. It added a ton of work upfront, but it saved us during a later lawsuit because everything was already marked. It's definitely a new standard, not just you.

Yeah, that "full log from the start" thing is real. My buddy in HR said they started doing that last year and it was a pain, but it totally covered them in a recent dispute.
