Rant: Dropped $500 on a 'declassified' government manual that was just a bad photocopy of a sci-fi novel.

The seller swore it proved a secret space program, but it was literally a bootleg of a book I found at the library for free. Anyone else get burned buying supposed 'evidence' online?

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Keith is right about the cost, but the real kicker is the time you waste fixing things. Always double check with a pro or at least a trusted source before you dive in. Learned my lesson the hard way with a plumbing "hack" that flooded my bathroom. Trust me, some shortcuts just aren't worth it.
