Noticed a shift in how new sweeps handle brush angles
Last week at a job in Dayton, I saw a younger guy fighting his brush on a tight flue and realized he'd never learned to feather it at an angle. Has anyone else seen newer folks skipping the basic technique of adjusting the rod angle for odd bends?

You're making it sound like a crisis. Not every tight flue needs that feathered angle trick. Some guys just muscle through it fine and get the same result. I've seen old school guys overcomplicate simple bends for years. Maybe he was just having a bad day.
