Watching sauces go from scratch to tub breaks my heart.

Honestly, I remember when we made every sauce from scratch, simmering for hours. Now, it's all about grabbing a tub of base and calling it a day. Tbh, the flavor just isn't the same, and it feels like we're losing the art. Ngl, it makes me sad to see new chefs not learning the old ways.

The tubs look pretty sad about it too.

That "noticing their face" thing happened to me with a grumpy looking toaster.

Yeah, the whole "tubs look sad" idea is spot on. I always just saw old tubs as junk before, but someone pointing out their face changes how you see them. Now I notice the faucet holes like eyes and the drain just looking so disappointed. It kind of makes you feel bad for them, doesn't it?
