Canned corned beef hash is better cold, I swear

I know everyone says to crisp it in a pan until it's brown and crunchy, but I tried it straight from the can last Tuesday when my stove was broken. The cold, salty, mushy texture with a spoon of mustard actually hit the spot, and it took zero time or dishes. I get the appeal of the crispy version, but for a quick lunch at my desk in Austin, the unheated one is way more practical. The fat congeals a bit which sounds gross but it's like a weird pate situation that works. Anyone else eat this stuff cold or am I alone on this hill? What's your go-to no-cook canned meal?

Cold spam and crackers got me through a hurricane week, so yeah, you're onto something.
