Just realized I've cleaned exactly 1,000 shutter blades this year. The counting started as a joke.

My buddy did that counting his steps once and got obsessed.

My friend Mark got like that with his daily push-ups. He hit a 500-day streak and then sprained his wrist, but he still tried to do them one-armed just to keep the count going. It reminds me of what @spencer199 said about getting obsessed. Mark's whole mood for the day depended on that number.
