Warning: that 'easy' drop ceiling run took me 7 hours today
I figured fishing coax through a drop ceiling would be a quick 45 minute job, but the cross beams were all locked tight and I ended up having to pull 30 ceiling tiles just to get a clear path. Has anyone else had to deal with those jammed T-bar clips that just won't budge?

Yeah, "painted shut" is exactly the problem. Those clips get a couple coats of ceiling paint and they might as well be welded in place. I've found that a thin putty knife tapped along the seam will break the paint seal enough to pop them loose, but you still have to work your way down the whole row.

Three tiles in I dropped my phone straight through an open ceiling vent. Had to crawl up there and fish it out of the insulation. Took me longer to clean the fiberglass dust off my arms than the actual cable run took. Those T-bar clips are pure evil when they're painted shut.
