Wasted a whole Saturday trying to get a clean cut on a 40-day dry-aged ribeye

Turns out my band saw blade was just a tiny bit loose, and tightening it took maybe 10 minutes after I figured it out. Anyone else have a simple fix that took you forever to spot?

Is it really a waste of time though? That whole Saturday you were learning. You learned how the saw acts when it's not right, you felt the difference in the cut, you probably checked everything else first. Next time something feels off, you'll know to check the blade tension right away. That's not wasted time, that's building experience the hard way.
