Watching a guy at the gas station in Akron fill his tank with exactly $20
He said he does it every Friday to cap his fuel spending. I tried it for a month and saved $60. Anyone else use a hard cap on a specific expense?

What about gas prices going up mid-week?

Makes sense for a weekly budget, but I feel like it could backfire. If you only put in twenty bucks and then have to make an extra trip later in the week, you're just wasting gas and time. I mean, maybe it works if your driving is super predictable, but my week is never that steady. I'd rather just track my total monthly gas spending and cut back on other stuff if it gets too high.
