I thought those overnight bus rides across Europe were just for broke students
Took one from Berlin to Prague to save on a hotel, and the $25 ticket got me a decent seat and saved a full day for sightseeing. Anyone have other routes where this actually works well?

Oh man, you're a braver soul than me... I tried the overnight from Paris to Amsterdam and felt like a human pretzel by sunrise. The price was right but my back still hasn't forgiven me. It's a genius move if you can actually sleep sitting up, but I just stared at the dark highway for eight hours... totally wrecked the next day. I guess it works if your only goal is to save cash and you're okay trading comfort for time.

Human pretzel" is the perfect way to put it, I was basically a sad bag of knots by Brussels.

Yeah, that's the brutal truth of it. I did the Berlin to Copenhagen run once and it's just paying for a ticket to be tired in a new city. The money you save goes straight into extra coffee the next day, so it's kind of a wash. My rule now is if the trip's over five hours, I'm finding a bed.
