The coffee shop near my old apartment got new management and the vibe flipped hard in 3 months
I used to go to this place near my place in Austin called Brewed Awakenings - it was great for drawing on napkins for free cause the owner didn't care if you sat for hours. Then new people took over in July and now there's a sign saying 45 minute limit unless you buy food every hour. It went from a chill hangout to a strict cash grab real fast. Anyone else have a spot you used to love turn into something totally different overnight?

That same thing happened to a place I used to go to in Denver. Used to be a little diner called The Corner Spot where the waitress knew your order by heart. Then new owners came in, painted everything gray, and added a mandatory 18% "hospitality fee" that wasn't even optional. Really killed the whole reason people went there in the first place. Ended up finding a different spot a few blocks over that still had that old school feel, so maybe there's something similar near your old place too.

Nah the new owners had to pay Denver rent somehow.
