Tried a speed rake on my last job instead of a jointer. Night and day.
Been doing brick patios for about 8 years now, always used a standard jointer for everything. Last week I was on a job in Tucson and the homeowner handed me his speed rake, said try it. I kid you not, I finished jointing a 500 square foot patio in like 45 minutes instead of 2 hours. The lines came out way cleaner too, no wobble. Has anyone else switched over and never looked back?

Used to think speed rakes were a gimmick, now I get it.

@marymorgan I get why people like them, but I'm still not sold honestly. Speed rakes have this way of making the game feel a bit too rushed for my taste... like you're just going through the motions instead of actually reading the board. I remember at the Venetian last year, a guy next to me was using one and he kept missing these obvious betting patterns because he was just clicking so fast. They might save time, but I feel like they take away from the real decision making that makes poker interesting. Different strokes though, I guess.
