Our reading club's moral debate spilled into personal attacks.

Fictional characters shouldn't cause real-world conflicts.

What specific moral issue in the book caused such a strong reaction? Arguments over fiction often show our own real world views and beliefs. When that happens, people end up attacking each other instead of talking about the story, which just wrecks the club vibe.

Actually, those messy arguments about book morals are where the real talk happens. Getting upset shows the story matters and connects to our lives. If we only chat about safe topics, we miss the point of sharing stories. Yeah, feelings can get hurt, but working through that clash makes the club stronger. Pretending we all agree just makes for a boring meeting.

But @mila_bell, getting that worked up over fiction... really?
