Appreciation post: My wife and I finally watched 'The Bear' over a long weekend
We started on Friday night and finished all three seasons by Sunday afternoon, which is a record for us. The show just grabbed us, especially the intense kitchen scenes that felt so real. I kept thinking about how the pressure in that kitchen is a lot like trying to pour a big driveway slab before a rainstorm. Has anyone else found themselves completely unable to stop watching a show like that?

Honestly, we did the same thing with season two last year. Took a sick day on a Monday and just powered through the whole thing. The episode where they do the friends and family service had me so stressed I had to pause it and walk around my apartment.

Remember when you had to actually be sick to take a sick day? I called out last week for a finale and my boss asked for a doctor's note. I almost sent her a screenshot of my stressed face during the dinner party scene. That episode had me checking my own fridge for moldy fruit, just in case.
