Just had a bike come in with a FRAME so bent it's UNREAL

I spent an hour trying to straighten it before realizing it's TOTALLY hopeless.

Saw a car wreck once where the frame was folded like a taco, dude walked away fine. Some metal just reaches its final form.

Ugh, that's the worst kind of shop day. You pour all that effort into a fix, get your hopes up, and then the part just laughs at you. It's like trying to unbend a paperclip after it's been totally mangled. Total waste of an hour, but at least you figured it out before wasting two.

Man, that's how it goes with lots of broken stuff. You see it with tools, furniture, even phones, they just hit a point of no return. Once it's bent that bad, it's never truly right again.
