Had a guy come in for a skin fade last week and the clipper guard slipped off halfway through. Had to blend out a huge step with just the open blade, took like 20 extra minutes lol

Man, that sounds rough. Did the guard just pop off on its own, or did you bump it somehow?

Honestly, that doesn't sound like a huge deal to me. A good barber should be able to fix a guard slip pretty fast. It's just part of the job, right? I'm with @derek_dixon78 on wondering how it even happened, but still. Taking an extra 20 minutes to fix one step seems like a lot. Stuff like that happens all the time, you just blend it out and move on.
