I saw somewhere that putting a layer of shredded newspaper on top of the scraps helps keep the flies away. My neighbor swears by it for her bin.

Doesn't that just hit you right where you live? I know exactly what you mean about remembering it's more than skin deep. That must have felt incredible to hear, knowing you helped her feel that way about herself. It's those little moments that remind you why you got into the job in the first place. And honestly that whole approach applies to more than just hard drives at this point. Everything digital moves so fast now that having a backup plan and a way to undo stuff seems like common sense for just about anything. It's like we all learned the hard way that trusting one copy of anything is a gamble.
