Saw a big shift in my fraud alerts after switching to a credit union
I moved my checking to a local credit union 6 months ago and my fraud alerts went from 2-3 a month down to zero. Has anyone else noticed less sketchy activity after leaving a big bank?

Realized something nobody talks about - credit unions don't sell your data like the big banks do. They're not making money off packaging your transaction history to third-party marketing firms. Those fraud alerts you were getting? Half of them were probably triggered by shady data brokers reselling your info, not actual fraud. The big banks are basically renting out your financial footprint to whoever pays. Credit unions operate on a different model where your data stays yours.

Wait hold on, they actually sell your transaction history? That can't be legal.
