Three years of overwatering until a droopy basil plant at 11pm made it click
I was watering my balcony garden every single day like clockwork until I noticed my basil looking sad even though the soil was soaked. Turns out I was drowning everything and the droop was actually rot, has anyone else had that "oh no" moment with a common herb?

I mean, it's a basil plant not a pet. If it dies you just buy another one for three bucks at the grocery store. Overwatering is a common mistake but calling it an "oh no" moment feels a bit dramatic for a herb.

Three bucks gets you maybe two sprigs of basil at my grocery store, not a whole plant that keeps giving for months. Plus that's not even counting the organic stuff which is like five bucks. You telling me five bucks is nothing to throw away?
