Overheard a lead tech say we should skip the pin drag test on a CRJ900 harness
Was doing a harness checkout last shift and one of the senior guys told the new kid not to bother with a pin drag test because "the pins are always good." I kept my mouth shut but that just feels wrong to me. I've seen dirty or worn pins cause intermittent faults on the EMB145 before. Am I being too cautious or should we always do the drag test even on newer ships?

Always do the drag test. Seen bad pins cause too many headaches.
