Why does nobody talk about those cheap O2 sensor sockets stripping out?

Burned through a whole afternoon and a $40 sensor because the stamped steel socket from a discount kit rounded off the hex. Had to drill it out... what's a brand that actually holds up?

My buddy had the exact same thing happen last month, total nightmare. He was fighting a downstream sensor on his truck with one of those flimsy discount store sockets. The whole hex just twisted right off, left the sensor stuck in the manifold. Ended up having to pull the whole thing to get it to a bench vise, completely ruined his weekend. He swore off the cheap stuff and got a Proto socket that's held up way better, says the extra cash was worth not having that headache again.
