Had a customer bring in a car that smelled like a fish market
It was a 2017 Civic from a guy who works at a seafood place in Portland. The smell was so bad I had to work with the bay door open. Turned out he spilled a whole gallon of clam chowder under the passenger seat six months ago and never cleaned it up. Now I always check for 'bio hazards' before I even pop the hood. Anyone else get a car with a smell that made you gag?

What's the worst smell you've ever found in a car? I had one that reeked of spoiled milk... took weeks to get that stink out of the vents.

Honestly spoiled milk sounds like a dream compared to a dead mouse in the heater box. That sweet rotting smell just kept coming back every time you turned on the heat. Took selling the car to really fix that problem.

That "took selling the car to really fix it" line is the perfect example of how some problems just don't have a clean solution. You can try every trick in the book, but sometimes the only real fix is to just walk away from the whole mess. It's a life lesson that applies to way more than just bad smells.
