My old Honda had a scratch like that... I called it a scratch for three years until the whole bumper basically fell off in a car wash. That rust is sneaky, it's like watching a slow-motion car crash you can't stop. I'm honestly impressed by the optimism, but my wallet still hurts from the repair bill.

Remember my buddy's truck? He had a tiny chip on the hood, swore it was just paint. Two winters later, @ross.river, he poked it and his finger went right through the metal. Cost him over a grand to fix the whole panel because the rust spread underneath.
