My climbing rope got a nasty core shot on a big oak removal

It happened last Tuesday on a job in the north part of town. I was about 40 feet up, making a cut, and felt that awful 'pop' through my harness. The rope's core was exposed for about a 6-inch section. I had to do a controlled descent on a secondary line, which was a real pain. I cut out the damaged part and now I'm left with two shorter ropes. Anyone have a good use for a 50-foot length of 11mm static line, or is it just trash now?

Damn, that's a scary way to find out your rope's toast.
