Vent: Blew 40 bucks on a dryer drum belt kit that was the wrong size

Spent 40 dollars on a 'universal' drum belt kit off Amazon for a Samsung dryer. Took me 45 minutes to get the old one off and then the new one was too short by a solid 3 inches. Has anyone else had this happen with those multi-size belt packs?

Read somewhere that those multi-size belt packs are basically hit or miss because they try to cover too many models with one part... makes sense they'd be off by inches. Guess it's better to just get the exact OEM part next time even if it costs a bit more, saves all that frustration.

A solid 3 inches too short? That's CRAZY. I mean, how do you even make a "universal" belt that misses by that much? 40 bucks down the drain and 45 minutes of your life gone forever for a piece of rubber that's basically a fancy hair tie that doesn't fit. You'd think Amazon would have SOME quality control on those kits, but no, they just let anyone slap a listing up. I'd be steaming if I was you, that's just ridiculous.
