Stupid fridge call in Tucson yesterday took 3 hours
Got a call about a Samsung fridge not cooling. Customer said it was barely 40 degrees in the fresh food section. Showed up and found the evaporator fan was totally iced up. Defrost timer checked out fine but the heater was dead. Had to dig out a new defrost heater from my truck and swap it. Took way longer than it should have because the access panel screws were stripped. Put it all back together and it dropped to 37 within an hour. Anyone else seeing these Samsung freezers ice up like crazy?

Yeah I saw what @ivan82 said about the defrost systems but it's actually a bit more specific than that. It's not all Samsung fridges, it's mainly the models with the electronic defrost boards that have problems with the heater connections. The heater itself is usually fine but the connector at the board gets loose and burns up. I've changed about a dozen of those connectors on 2020 and newer Samsungs. The stripped screws are a pain too, I carry a screw extractor set now just for those.
